Open Letter to Sen Rick Scott, (R) Florida.

Hon Senator Scott,

I am a resident of Florida and I do get your email blasts.

I am writing to express my utter disgust with President Musk and his puppets in Washington which appear to include the entire GOP congressional membership.

My first statement; USA is NOT bringing peace through strength. We have shown an utter lack of strength, rather a very public bending of the knee to Putin. A capitulation of the most obvious kind to curry favor with an actual dictator, not an imagined one in Ukraine. The latest overtly open extortion attempt to threaten a real leader, Zalenskii, into surrendering 50% of his nation’s mineral wealth or risk having their entire nation and military cut off from internet is grotesque and perverted.

Anyone who would support Russia over Ukraine cannot in good conscience call themselves a patriot or a supporter of 75 years of America’s tradition of support for democracies around the globe. Reagan defeated the USSR with our economic power. Today’s America could crush Putin’s imperialism with a simple declaration but seems intent on doing the most damage to Ukraine he can to please the real dictator. Why no spine? Ukraine is fighting a war now so we won’t have to tomorrow.

Trump: “Mr Putin. We want peace in Ukraine. Leave now, take all your soldiers and equipment back home or America will arm Ukraine to the teeth, train them and back them to whatever extent is necessary to restore their land including Crimea”

I’m sure Ukrainians would welcome trade including minerals and mining with US Companies without any extortion. But they must be free to do so.

I'm not sure who’s side you are on but I know Trump is NOT on our side. You have a chance to show a backbone and bring as many of your colleges along as you can. If you refuse to stand up to our “dictator” now you’ve capitulated and rendered your position useless.

Stand up or step down.
