Open Letter to Marco Rubio

 Mr. Rubio:

 I am writing in disgust after the total capitulation to Russia in Saudi Arabia. I’m ashamed. You got nothing for Ukraine. Nothing for USA. Everything for Putin.

Ukraine is and has been our democratic ally. Russia is and always has been an anti-democratic adversary determined to destroy democracy.

You used to know this.

 Other things you also used to know:

• Putin is a brutal thug who murders his opposition and suppresses the Russian people.
• Putin invaded Ukraine. Ukraine did NOT invade Russia.
• Putin previously invaded taking Crimea by force, bides his time then went back for more.
• Putin will take by force anything he thinks he can get away with.

If he keeps even a square mile of Ukraine with help from the United States he will take that as a sign of weakness and he will want more. The conflict will continue to envelope more of Europe. Right now the world, with the brave help of the people of Ukraine, have an opportunity to contain Putin’s imperial ambitions. They need help. A lot of help. Three years after Putin said he would take Ukraine in four days, he’s failing. He’s weaker.

None of this is rocket science. It’s his MO. He’s done it before in plain sight. He will do it again and we cannot become a part of that. The America I grew up in would never stand still for that. Are we now the bad guys?
